The Moorabool Wind Farm (MWF) will be connected to the National Electricity Grid via a 132kV overhead powerline. The powerline will extend for approximately 30km, connecting the northern Bungeeltap section and the southern Ballark section of the wind farm to the Elaine terminal station, near the Elaine township. The current proposed powerline route is shown in the attached Proposed 132kV Overhead Line Alignment for Connection of the Moorabool Wind Farm.
Australian Energy Operations and Goldwind Australia have signed a connection agreement for the 321 MW Moorabool Wind Farm.
Australian Energy Solutions has contracted BEON Energy Solutions to design, construct operate and maintain the transmission assets.
